Social innovation is the design and development of new approaches to behaviour change that provide effective, efficient and sustainable solutions.

Since 2012 the Keep Britain Tidy Centre for Social Innovation has been designing, delivering and evaluating programmes of work focussed on changing behaviour to reduce littering, prevent waste and improve local places through social innovation.

Our work
The Keep Britain Tidy Centre for Social Innovation brings together and tests evidence and innovation to better understand what drives current behaviours and issues.

We design, deliver and evaluate social innovation, around Keep Britain Tidy's three main focus areas: litter, waste and places. You can explore the range of projects we have developed so far through the links on the right.

At the Centre for Social Innovation, we work in partnership with local land managers and other stakeholders to deliver tailored research and context specific solutions to the issues we are facing, following an evidence based approach. Find out more about our work here.
